Hang gliding: high flying
If you want to try the thrill of flight and at the same time carry out a healthy and original sport, the hang glider is the best choice. A means for pleasure flying, the hang glider is available to fans of all ages and social conditions thanks to its low purchase and maintenance costs. Even if it is not "fashionable" anymore like the practical paraglider, the hang glider is still used in major pleasure flying competitive contests. It is the only means that is guided in the air by the weight of the pilot, who ideally represents the center of gravity of the entire flight structure.
The first person to fly on a hang glider was Otto Lilienthal, but it was only in 1951 that the Californian aeronautical engineer, Melvin Rogallo, built the first prototype of the modern hang glider....

What a passion for aerostatic balloons! Invented more than two centuries ago by the French Mongolfiere, hot-air balloons continue to represent a valid hobby and an experience out of the ordinary for millions of fans around the world, despite futuristic aeronautics technology developed during the course of years.
For decades this aerostatic balloon has represented, before the invention of the non-rigid airships (also known as blimps) and airplanes, a valid means of transportation for European nobles. In the last century, however, it was mainly used as an attraction at fairs, patron-saint celebrations or as an immediate advertising means where the spectator is lured by the fascination of just looking at it in the sky: almost like a dream in a super technological world...
 
Air Force One, when the airplane is...Presidential...
Up until 1990 the name Air Force One was identified, via radio, as any type of American Air Force aircraft used by the President of the United States for his various trips. As of 1990 Air Force One is used to solely identify the American President's personal fleet. This is made up of two Boeing 747-200, designated VC-25A, whereby various modifications were carried out in order to make them easier to handle and able to accommodate the President's office in case of emergency situations. Unlike any other aircraft, these two can be refuelled whilst still in flight.
Able to accommodate at least 70 passengers, Air Force One is structured in such a way that a spacious hold inside the aircraft contains all the normal luggage of each person and huge quantities of food making it seem more like a flying house...
